Villafuerte, Calinan win 4th DC Baseball Cup
Lt.C.Villafuerte Sr.Elementary School blanked the Wangan Elementary School, 8-0 to lift the 4th Davao City Baseball Cup, Feb.21, at the University of Mindanao-Matina campus.
The PNJK International School defeated the F.Bustamante Elementary School, 9-5 to take the third spot.
Calinan National High School relied on pitcher Don Calivoso to subdue Crossing Bayabas National High School for the secondary division title.
PNJK High School bested the Bustamante National High, 12-2 for the third spot.
Yusuke Uchida, sports coordinator of the organizing Datu Uchida Development Foundation, thanked the various supporters led by the Tokyo Kichijoji Lions Club during the awarding
ceremony on Feb.22 at the Apo View Hotel.
Tatsuo Uchida, Foundation president, has been instrumental in the holding of the games for the last four years pointing out the need to help the children in Davao through baseball.
